Involving adaptive re-use of an existing 15-storey office tower, the bespoke youthful design includes 81 hotel rooms comprising 4 room variants geared towards young travelers. The compact room designs provide an informal and playful alternative to conventional budget alternatives including youth arts and cultural references in the form of lively wall graphics. The design incorporates ‘found objects’ in the form of reconditioned furniture and salvaged fixtures and fittings with wall graffiti, stenciled graphics and bold furnishings to create a unique and informal home from home feel. Guest comfort is provided in the form of branded mattresses, furnishings, built-in appliances, AV and wi-fi. Guest areas on the reception floor include casual break-out spaces with subtle lighting accenting the colourful interior fit-out, providing a dynamic synergy with the vibrant urban setting and neon-lit streets of Tsim Sha Tsui.
