The INTEGER Pavilion, built on the Tamar site in the heart of Hong Kong's central business district, demonstrates how a combination of sustainable design, innovative construction methods and new technologies can improve residential developments in Hong Kong. The design proposes a realistic and flexible network of intelligent technologies, which could be integrated into new residential developments today, to improve building and energy efficiency.

The range of exhibits and activities inside the pavilion is designed to interest everyone from the youngest school child to the most experienced professional within the IT, construction and environment industries.

Large plasma screens and individual interactive headsets guided visitors around interactive exhibits in the pavilion and up towards a virtual-reality high-rise lobby area and sky garden. The centerpieces of the pavilion were two 80 square metre apartments, each show casing the latest in intelligent design and living, including biometric security systems, integrated home networks, central building controls, multi-media entertainment and learning, and intelligent bathrooms and kitchen appliances.

INTEGER challenges conventional building practices by combining innovative design and construction processes with 'intelligent' and 'green' technologies to create mainstream housing which is of higher quality, more energy efficient and environmentally sustainable.
