Shanghai DreamCenter shall be a paragon of culture-led mixed-use development in the post-industrial China. A collaboration between Central Development Bank, DreamWorks, CMC and Lan Kwai Fong Group, the Shanghai DreamCenter offers the City a much deserved destination of leisure and entertainment intertwined with world-beating creative studios and world-class cultural activities. This unique waterfront site include five heritage buildings -- part of a disused cement factory that was at one time the largest in Asia -- that will be conserved and adapted for performances, art hub and ecological center. The Oval Partnership is responsible for the masterplan of the waterfront Site B, the architectural design of 9 of the 12 building groups on the Site, and the overall retail concept design of all 4 Sites F, L, M and B linking the MTR stations and the riverside. The construction work will start in early 2016 and aims to be completed by 2020.
