This scheme was submitted for planning approval in 2011 and imagined in response to an urgent call for urban regeneration in the heart of Kunming. Bridging the two ring roads and integrated with a public transport interchange, the 2.4 million sqm development is organised around a central park that encourages and celebrates biodiversity, the key component of a masterplan designed to promote environmental restoration and local water treatment. Anchored by international five-star hotels and a regional shopping center with avenues and squares, the project will form the heart of evolving urban life in Kunming.
